Legislative Update

TMGMA works closely with both the MGMA and TMA Government Affairs staff to provide our members with the latest legislative & regulatory information.TMGMA members are encouraged to participate in grassroots activities, anecdotal surveys, and contacting your elected officials on issues of importance to medical practices. For more information on how you can get involved or questions on any legislative issue, contact your TMGMA Legislative Liaison Kathi Potts CMPE at

As you are well aware, the business of medicine is changing at an alarming pace.  MACRA was released in the last few weeks and is 962 pages long.  What the acronym stands for is not relevant.  We have more acronyms than we can keep up with.  What is relevant is that MACRA will impact how physicians and their respective practices are paid moving forward.  What we don’t know can and will hurt physicians, practices and ultimately our patients. It is simply not possible to keep up without the help of our associations, the TMGMA for administrators and the TMA for physicians.

Dear Knoxville MGMA Local Chapter Member:

We are very excited to partner with the Tennessee MGMA to provide a simplified process for paying your 2017 member dues. This year, the Knoxville MGMA Local Chapter is participating in a Single Invoicing Pilot Program with the Tennessee MGMA. All Knoxville Local Chapter Members should have received an email invoice from TMGMA. This invoice will contain a link for you to pay your dues online. If you did NOT receive the invoice by email, or are interested in joining as a New Member, please go to and either log in to view your member profile or click on "Join."

If you are currently also a state member, you are listed in our system as a Regular (or Affliliate) PLUS Local Chapter Member.
If you are NOT currently a state member, you are listed in our system as a Knoxville Local Chapter Regular (or Affiliate) Member ONLY. You will have the option to become a state member as well and pay for both memberships with one payment, BUT IT IS NOT REQUIRED.
PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATION when paying your dues. Some changes to membership types may require administrative approval.
Take a moment to review your profile and provide as much demographic information as possible before paying your dues. The more we know about you and your company, the better we can serve you as a member!
Please use the log in information below to access your online profile and pay your dues with a credit card. If you need to pay your dues by check, you may print a hard copy invoice after you click on teh link in your electronic invoice as well. Please note that all checks should be made payable to TMGMA.

Perhaps the most valuable element of our club is the relational aspect.  If you're new to our market, the industry, or would just like to go deeper in your professional relationships, please reach out to us.  Let us know how we can help you achieve your goals at Contact Us.

Our Mission

KAMGMA's mission is to improve the effectiveness of medical group practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage/lead them.

KAMGMA is a non-profit Association that provides an environment for professionals to improve their skills, increase their knowledge and broaden their managerial and leadership perspectives. The demands on medical practice managers are changing constantly and dramatically. Traditional management approaches are being challenged – fast paced changes can set a practice management professional back if they fall behind in education. KAMGMA can help keep you moving forward with efficiency.

Networking and Career Focus

KAMGMA provides opportunities for members to network with peers, plus, discuss ideas and strategies to overcome challenges and promote continuing education. To enhance networking an annual membership directory is published.

Thank you for visiting

We're passionate about equipping medical practices to continually improve their ability to serve their communities. If you're new to MGMA or KAMGMA we hope you will find everything you need on our website to help you make a decision to join.
