TMGMA works closely with both the MGMA and TMA Government Affairs staff to provide our members with the latest legislative & regulatory information.TMGMA members are encouraged to participate in grassroots activities, anecdotal surveys, and contacting your elected officials on issues of importance to medical practices. For more information on how you can get involved or questions on any legislative issue, contact your TMGMA Legislative Liaison Kathi Potts CMPE at firstname.lastname@example.org
As you are well aware, the business of medicine is changing at an alarming pace. MACRA was released in the last few weeks and is 962 pages long. What the acronym stands for is not relevant. We have more acronyms than we can keep up with. What is relevant is that MACRA will impact how physicians and their respective practices are paid moving forward. What we don’t know can and will hurt physicians, practices and ultimately our patients. It is simply not possible to keep up without the help of our associations, the TMGMA for administrators and the TMA for physicians.
